Crab apples


The crab apple tree is in blossom and it looks like I might have a million zillion little apples to pick later in the year. And I still have quite a few jars of the jelly that I made this year.
Christmas presents perhaps?
The building across the road is the fire station for our little town and they practise every Wednesday evening. Why don't dogs like the fire engine sirens? Its a weekly howwwwwwl at our place!

  1. hi...are you going to use a fresh pumpkin to make the pie? you need about 15 ozs. of cooked, mashed pumpkin. let me know how it turns out if you make it!

  2. Yes, I think I'll use a butternut pumpkin as that variety is quite sweet and my favourite! I don't think I've ever seen cans of pumpkin in Aussie but then I don't look at canned vegetables very often so who knows
    Thanks for the weight though, I think in metric that's about 500gms.
