I'm confused....

So here I have some apple blossom.
I haven't picked this years apples yet and they've got blossom. Is that meant to happen? It's happened to two of the trees so far. This particular tree has three different sorts of apples, Golden Delicious, Lady in the Snow and Jonathon I think. Methinks it's not just me that's confused!

  1. Joc I am just wondering if they fruit at different times? Therefore flower at different times. If one of them is a late autumn fruiter it may be flowering now. I need to mention I know nothing about apples..lol

Thankyou so much for your kind thoughts and support.

  2. That's a hard question Aussie as there are quite a few apple trees. One of the trees with blossom hasn't actually fruited this year but the other tree with blossom is the one with the apples in the photo. So apples and blossom on the same tree. As it's the tree with three different sorts, which do ripen at differing times I'll have to try and remember to check out which type of apple it is (if it fruits). A local farmer has said that it can happen quite regularly but it still seems odd to me!
I hope that you and your DH are enjoying your time together in this wonderful summer weather we're having and doing just what YOU want to do. Thinking of you,
